Ochoco Creek Park (Prineville)

From my kid's point of view, Ochoco Creek Park has the best playground in Central Oregon.

The primary feature of the playground is a huge fort with an amazing array of climbing devices and obstacles that you won't find elsewhere.  Maybe it's the influence of Les Schwab, but this place still has playground equipment made out of tires.  It's a little retro, and it's not in perfect shape, but it reminds me of the way playgrounds were when I was a kid.  Deciduous trees provide shade in the summertime.

A semi-separate fenced tot-lot is attached to the main playgound.  It's easy to keep an eye on a little one while you keep track of the bigger kids.

The park also features a bridge over Ochoco Creek (a safe distance from the playgound), expanses of grassy lawns, an outdoor pool, a memorial to wildland firefighters, and across the street, a skatepark.
