Meinig Memorial Park (Sandy)

 Meinig Park is a great stop on the way to or from Portland.  It's only a block off the highway, and it features a huge playground, a small stream with bridges, picnic shelters and lots of walking paths.

Two parking lots are convenient to the playground.  The one behind Sandy City Hall has more shade.

There are flush toilets in the restroom on the hillside.
