Mountain View Park (Bend)

From Bend Parks and Recreation:
"Completed in 2007, this site is located in the midst of a rapidly growing area with a mix of single and multifamily housing. This park features large open lawn play areas, fully accessible walking trails, a play ground, picnic shelter with capacity for 8, and half-court basketball. Mountain views and views of Pilot Butte make this park perfect for picnics. A portable toilet is on site."

Additional Comments:

Mountain View Park is nice.  It has a generous sized playground with  a variety of skill building challenges.

My boys' favorite is the blue bouncy airplane.  Did you know that there are at least four of these airplanes in Bend?  The others are at Quail Park, Larkspur Park, and Lewis and Clark Park.

Mountain View Park also includes lots of paved trails where kids can hone their biking or scooter skills.  There are some small hills, and the western loop is about a quarter mile.

Restroom Facilities, like most in the Bend Parks system are made from plastic and lack a flush lever.

There is lots of street parking along NE Conners Avenue and NE Curtis Drive, but if you need to have your car right next to the playground, drive to the end of Ne Providence and snag one of the four (including handicapped) spots in the tiny parking lot.

Mountain View Park is the nicest playground with good proximity to St Charles Hospital.
