Diamond Bar Ranch Park (Redmond)

From Redmond Parks Division:
"Diamond Bar Ranch Park sits on 3.03 acres on the corner of NE 5th & NE Quince Avenue.

Built in 2007, this neighborhood park is nestled among residential houses and is the perfect spot to take a break from daily chores."

My Comments:
I wouldn't have used the word "nestled".  This is a nice enough park.  There is a good sized play structure with a couple of climbing walls and a large flat lawn suitable for playing soccer, flying a kite, or throwing a frisbee.  A basketball court is adjacent to the playground.

There is also a short walking path, but unless it doesn't go anywhere.

This park lacks shade and windbreaks.  My boys call it the tumbleweed park because we've seen them blowing in from the empty lots to the southwest.

Safety for little ones:
The streets adjacent to the playground are relatively low traffic.  There are no fences around the playground, but fences do provide a border around the back of the park.

Restrooms:
Redmond is to be commended for their restroom program.  Flush toilets and running water (no soap or  paper towels) in the warmer months, and ADA accessible (meaning that you can take a couple of kids in with you) port-a-potties (with hand sanitizer) in the winter.
