"This charming neighborhood park developed in 2002 is located in the Foxborough subdivision just east of Brosterhous Road in south east Bend. This small park is a popular gathering place for local families.
The park is surrounded by streets on three sides, providing plenty of curb-side parking. There are two off-street ADA parking spaces, and on-street parking"
My Comments:
This playground isn't very special unless you have a child with a special affinity for Clifford the Big Red Dog. I'd love to have it in my neighborhood (we don't have a park within walking distance), but most other Bend playgrounds are more compelling.
The playground is set well back from a quiet street. The nearby railroad tracks are separated by a tall concrete wall. The play surface is wood chips.
Restrooms:
Ack. Seasonal restrooms--such a weakness of the Bend Parks system. That means that they bring in a port-a-potty for the summertime. I don't know about you, but my family needs to pee in the winter too.
Redmond has a much better restroom program than Bend. When the permanent facility is winterized, a port-a-potty is available--at every single park!
