From Bend Parks and Rec:
"Similar to Summit Park, Sylvan Park, located on Awbrey Butte, features ample open turf, a small play area, picnic tables, tennis courts and limited off-street parking. Some of the park remains in natural wooded condition. Tennis courts are available for play on a first come first serve basis. A trail connects Sylvan and Summit Parks."
My Comments:
The play area is indeed small. The greatest challenge for a four year old might be to walk around the concrete curb that surrounds the playground. The good news is that it's on a quiet street, and it has a secluded woodsy feel. There are lots of trees for summertime shade near the playground.
Safety for little ones:
Decent separation from the street. The playground is very tame.
Restrooms:
Did I mention that there are lots of trees? That said, there are not enough trees to shield an adult from adjoining houses.
