This is one sad looking little playground. It looks like it started out really nice, but the ravages of time (and children) has taken its toll. It looks like the equipment went through a major flood.That said, it was a neat idea. One area is all about sand play. The digger would be really cool if it wasn't broken.
The tunnels would be really cool if they weren't so dirty.
There is a short walking trail that takes you to the banks of the Crooked River. It's also a very short walk to the--you guessed it--Crook County Library.
A small parking lot is located next to the playground. Additional parking and restrooms are available at the library during normal operating hours.
We can only hope that Libary Park gets a little TLC soon. It has potential. It could be nice again, but it's just sad right now (as of 3/13/13).
