From Bend Parks and Recreation:
"Located in north east Bend, Boyd Park provides an interesting combination of developed areas and wild spaces. The developed portions of the park feature open lawn play areas, a picnic pavilion, a children's playground and a half-court basketball court. The wild spaces of the park include soft surface trails that wind through native landscapes with rock outcroppings and superb mountain and desert views."
Boyd Park is a nice medium sized playground. Like many other playgrounds, there is a small structure for the littlest kids, and a larger one for those who are past the toddler stage. The playground includes some unusual spinning equipment. I especially like the "umbrella" that you hang from. It's not for the little kids, but it gives me a good ab workout.

The narrow, tightly spaced Pahlisch homes across the street give the neighborhood a New-Englandy feel.
A seasonal restroom (that means a porta-potty) is available during the warm months. Picnic tables and benches dot the park, and a half court basketball court is located just east of the playground.
